About Bowen
Also known as Bowtech or Bowenwork, the Bowen Technique is a dynamic system of muscle and connective tissue therapy designed to address pain and treat a wide range of health problems and injuries. Developed by the late Tom Bowen of Australia, this innovative form of health care has helped thousands of people and continues to amaze orthodox and alternative therapists of all disciplines. It is suitable for individuals of all ages and in all degrees of health.
How Bowen Works
Bowen Technique is a unique hands-on therapy. Simplicity, gentleness, depth of healing and rapid results make it special. It involves sets of light moves applied to specific points on muscles, tendons and ligaments with pauses for integration. Targeted but minimal sensory stimulus catalyzes the body’s own ability of repair and can help in healing many structural and systemic problems. The repair process may occur on several different levels as needed – physical, chemical, emotional, mental, and energetically.
